You know the proverb? I try very hard not to count my chickens before they hatch. That helps me to keep my expectations low, along with my disappointment if things don't work out accordingly.
Remember the roof issue? The bid for it was $6300. My deductible is $500.
It hatched.
Now, what I'd like to know is, how do they know I'm not going to run to the nearest casino with this while I let my roof rot? Or get new carpet for the house? I suppose it wouldn't make much sense to buy new carpet if the roof was rotting. But there are some people out there that would...
God is so faithful.
And surprisingly quick, this time. Hubby and I haven't even finished arguing over shingle colors yet.

Holy cow. That is so awesome! God is good and He knows our wants and needs. And guess what!!! I have decided to homeschool the kids on my own. As soon as I can find the principals email, I am going to drop the kids out of the Virtual Academy. I am excited and scared at the same time. I know I can do this though
Yes, God is exceedingly good, more so than I ever imagine, sometimes. Congratulations on making a final decision with the homeschool stuff! You'll be in my prayers. God is able to give you the self-discipline and grace to accomplish what He's called you to do. Don't overlook the importance of the kids' diet (and yours), and other influences on their ability to learn and such. Blessings to you!
