The "Need To Know" Basis

This is a public service announcement:

Children need to know the difference between sharpie markers (used by Mama to label and date Ziplocs of leftovers) and dry-erase markers (used by Mama to mark up the refrigerator like a white board).

It would also be helpful for them to know that the latex-painted white back door IS NOT a white-board equivalent, as is the fridge.

My children (now) know these things.

eek.

how did the removal of the pen go? I know that on dry-erase boards that you can scribble over the sharpie marks with dry-erase pen and it will wipe off okay. But I don't know how that would work on the fridge. And the door just sounds bad...

(re)Painting one of our walls under a window has been on my to-do list since my eldest went all quiet with a black pen one day.

my sympathies!

Rubbing alcohol did a pretty good job on the fridge, but she used dry erase on the back door, and so far it's stuck-on good. "we love you daddy and are glad to hlep you" or some such. I should take a picture. :)
Maybe have her sign the door...? hehe.

Well I sweet comment like that makes it hard to get mad, doesn't it? :-)

There's this chemical-harmful-to-the-world stuff called "Goof-Off." It works like a charm on paint and markers! We have personally used it on many a surface...
